Cloud Security Product Manager
*Can be located in Charlotte, NC but will consider Chicago, IL; Irving, TX or Northbrook, IL office locations*
The Cloud Security Product Manager is responsible for the ownership of Cloud Security Product & Services Portfolio including but not limited to Endpoint Protection, Security Architecture, Data Protection, Identity & Access Management, Security Operations & Network Security. This includes evaluating internal business needs that are supported by the Security Product Portfolio and collaborating with cross-functional product and Company Security teams to determine and drive efficient means of meeting those needs and capabilities. This role focuses on delivering capabilities that help reduce risk by ensuring support capability, solution scalability, and improved efficiency for the Cloud Security Product Portfolio on an ongoing basis. Within the designated cloud product line, the Cloud Security Product Manager works collaboratively with internal business partners, DCIO's, Cloud Engineering, and Company Information, Security as well as external vendors to drive continuous improvements and measurable results. They are also responsible for coordinating the creation of Policies, Procedures, KPI's, reporting metrics, and presenting across various levels of the organization. The Cloud Security Product Manager works both strategically and tactically, understanding and contributing to the future growth and direction of the Cloud Security Product Portfolio, analysing and determining meaningful metrics, and maintaining the financial health of the Cloud Security Product Portfolio. The Cloud Security Product Manager is responsible for cloud security products & services that are higher-profile and/or that are larger in scope.
Analyze and understand the overarching threat landscape and develop strategies to deliver efficient, comprehensive solutions to satisfy those needs in an objective manner.
Interprets business goals and communicate it to engineering and operations teams and help identify opportunities for the assigned Cloud Security Product Portfolio to achieve results.
Responsible for strategic financial planning within assigned Security Product Portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning of new and existing Security Products & Services.
Own all aspects of cloud security product definition including vendor integration, platform integration and monitoring for cloud platforms including but not limited to AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
Serve as the subject matter expert for the products and features and acts as a product evangelist to build internal awareness across the organization
Develop, maintain, and communicate the vision of the Cloud Security Product Portfolio
Write detailed and Agile product requirements documents and ensure clear communication of those requirements to the business, engineering, security, development, and product teams
The Cloud Security Product Manager is responsible for assessing security needs and capabilities and inspiring cross-functional cloud engineering teams to find the fastest way to achieve value around those needs. The role focuses on delivering business value to drive cloud adoption, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction through the production of quality security products and services. The Cloud Security Product Manager will support in-depth business reviews, communicate and present across all levels of the organization and support cross-functional product teams. Importantly, the Cloud Security Product Manager, must be able to work at the strategic level (generating innovative ideas for growth, change management) and at the tactical level (analysing data, solving problems, being a force multiplier and leader of their teams).
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
40% - Strategy & Planning:
o Seeks to empathize with and understand the customer/user deeply and use that knowledge to determine the fastest path to deliver value
o Translates business goals and end user needs into product strategy; communicates direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners
o Identifies goals, metrics and analytics to determine product value; continually makes recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings
o Manages and grooms the product backlog; makes future decisions based on the value that will be delivered
o Partners with the AIS and Cloud Engineering fiancé teams to understand financial needs and assist in the creation of funding roadmaps and plans for new opportunities
o Partners with the AIS Security Strategy team to monitor research as well as the competitive landscape to recommend the best solutions and ensure that products remain or become best in class
o Partners with the BISO's and AIS Risk Management team to understand existing Risks and Business initiatives to feed the cloud security portfolio priorities.
o Ensures that product directions balance both the user needs and business goals of enabling frictionless adoption of cloud, improving efficiency and enhancing customer/user satisfaction
30% - Delivery & Execution:
o Formulates, tests and refines assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing
o Creates, prioritizes and accepts user stories; incorporate them into sprint/iteration planning
o Makes product decisions that drive value on a daily basis
o Identifies and considers pros, cons, issues, obstacles, dependencies and value associated with features and enhancements
o Participates in standups, iteration planning sessions, product demo, and retrospectives
o Condenses complex technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders
30% - People:
o Fosters collaboration with team members (AIS, Cloud Engineering, Architects, etc.) to drive value and identify and resolve impediments
o Acts as a proponent and driver of modern software defined infrastructure and security by design practices
o Advocates for the end user and stakeholder by becoming associated with the product, empathizing with and understanding user needs
o Works with the product team to continuously assess progress, disseminate lessons learned, and understand next steps
o Manages cross functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute on product strategy and provides education to requestors to determine prioritization based on tangible benefits and/or user experience
o Guides more junior team members in strategy, alignment, analysis and execution tasks
o Participates in and contributes to learning activities around modern software design and development core practices (communities of practice)
o Participates in talent acquisition, development and retention activities in support of team

Pay: $120,000 to $130,000 USD
